Have you ever walked through a tallgrass prairie, where the grasses reach for the sky? Where flowers grow to be 8' tall? Where Native Americans, settlers and bison roamed? At one time Illinois, the "Prairie State," had 40,000 square miles of restored tallgrass prairie. Over 1100 acres of Fermilab's environment has been restored with native tallgrass forbs and grasses.

As a member of FFSE, you are invited to a members-only tour of this rare ecosystem. Join prairie experts on a tour of the Margaret Pearson Interpretive Trail and the Robert F. Betz (research) Prairie, inside the Tevatron ring. Share your enthusiasm with family and a few friends. This program will be of interest to people 10 years of age and older. If you are not a member, consider joining.

Attendance is free but limited. Send your name, number attending, e-mail address and cell phone number to: millman@fnal.gov. Confirmation and details by e-mail.
