Introduction Our purpose is to do a SPECTACULAR Foxfire style writing project. Our book is about Fermilab, the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia, Illinois. Fermilab is an experimental laboratory for basic research in particle physics. In this book, we tell the story of Fermilab's interesting, exciting and sometimes sad history.
