Treaties

Convention on International Trade in Threatened and Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
Full text of the CITES (pronounced "site-ease") treaty describing regulations, conditions for permits, exemptions, amendments, measures to be taken, etc. by participating countries to promote conservation of wild plants and animals.
WWF CITES Site
CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) is the only global treaty that aims to regulate trade in threatened and endangered species. During the 10th CITES meeting(June 6 to 20, 1997) in Harare, Zimbabwe, WWF's Dana Lauren West filed daily reports to this site.

The Thomas site (for Thomas Jefferson) is a project of the Library of Congress. Search by keyword and find the full text of bills being considered in the house and senate, full text of hearings and speeches, the Federal Register and more. This is a great site to use to extract information about the legislative process.
