Objective: Investigate the physical properties of the stream you have been studying and its watershed. Maybe you want to trace the path of the stream and notice what the stream is used for. Maybe you want to compare your stream with other rivers.

Some information you will find first hand. You may have to contact area governing bodies for other information.

  1. Study your watershed. Find out what is around the area. Is there any information on the Internet about your stream and its watershed?

  2. Search for information about other rivers.

  3. Report to the class. Draw a map or diagram of your stream and its watershed. Compare the watersheds you studied.
