Tours for Students

Come to Fermilab and enjoy a docent-led tour. Check carefully to make sure you are old enough and whether you need an adult to come too. All the tours are free. More Information (Text Version).

Get to Know Fermilab

Get-to-Know Fermilab

Come to the Wilson Hall atrium on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. to get an introductory tour of the Lab. Afterwards, eat lunch in the Wilson Hall Cafeteria. You must be over ten years old. If you are under 14 years old, you need to bring an adult.
Get to Know the LSC

Get-to-Know the Lederman Science Center

Come with your family to the LSC on the first Saturday of the month from 10:00 am to noon. A docent will give you a guided tour of the exhibits that explore Fermilab science from a kid's point of view.

High School Tours

If you are 14 or over, your teacher can arrange to bring a group for a high school tour, a brief question and answer session with a physicist and lunch in the Fermilab cafeteria. More information

Middle School Tours (Beauty and Charm)

If your teacher has attended a Beauty and Charm workshop, you can visit Fermilab as part of Beauty and Charm field trips.

Ask a Scientist

Come at 1:00 pm on the first Sunday of the month except holiday weekends when we delay by one week. Enjoy a lecture geared for high school seniors and up followed by a behind-the-scenes tour. Ask scientists questions about Fermilab or about physics in general. Students 10 to 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Registration required. More Information
