Enroll in two weeks of classes for credit at the U.S. Particle Accelerator School. In most cases, this will be the two-week "Fundamentals of Accelerator Physics" course, but, if appropriate, an alternate course or courses may be substituted with prior approval of the Program Manager.
Complete the full ten-week program and attend all scheduled events including lectures, tours and group activities.
Give a short presentation on your project during the last week of the program and submit a paper describing your work and results. Examples of papers from previous years may be viewed at Papers from Previous Years.
