  • Program Description

    Fermilab's PARTI program offers ten-week summer internships to students from universities in the former Soviet Union majoring in physics and engineering. These internships offer a chance for students to work with Fermilab scientists and engineers at the frontier of scientific research in the physics and technology of particle accelerators.

    Support includes:

    • Wage of $12.50/hour, subject to U.S. taxes which is about $500 per week
    • Shared use of housing
    • Shared use of a rental car
    • Transportation to and from the airport

  • Eligibility

    • Student of a university in a country of the former Soviet Union, majoring in Physics or Engineering.
    • At least one full year at the university at the moment of applying.
    • At least 4.0 Grade Point Average (in 2-5 grading system).
    • At least 18 years old.
    • Fluent in English.

  • Expectations

    • Adhere to the job duties and to observe the required time and attendance standards, as defined by your supervisor.
    • Complete all Fermilab safety and computing requirements.
    • Work safely in a responsible and professional manner.
    • Attend all scheduled events including lectures, tours and group activities.

    Deliverables
