LInC ACT Feedback Examples
- I really like your idea of videotaping the principal. I think
that would add to the authenticity of your hook. your project
sounds like it is a success and that the students were engaged.
Having the police department respond helped out with keeping your
kids into the project too. Good use of an outside source!
-
Just think of all the new material on invasive species you
will get with those invasive snake fish in Lake Michigan. Sad
but it will generate even more scenarios for future discussion
in class I'm sure.
-
I think you might be able to avoid having your students
spend too long on a tangent if you have a
project conference with each group early in the process
as they start developing their project ideas.
I tried this in my class and it has really helped.
-
It has been amazing to watch what your students have been able
to do with their projects with minimal assistance. I know you
were hesitant about those choosing Movie Maker to present their
information, but these groups have been able to do fantastic
things with little help. Being in a group allows students to
try things and problem solve on their own first before going
to the teacher. I am glad you were able to recover the missing
student folders. I would suggest backing up the project folder
that is on the Global drive to your computer once a week, so
at least you have a copy if the folders do get deleted accidentally.
-
I like the direction your project is going. The folder idea
is great. If you don't mind I am going to use it for my
eighth graders. I am thinking that giving them a "business"
portfolio of some kind will help them in their organization
and give the presentation a more professional ambiance.
