This roller coaster unit was taught only in the physics classes before. It did not involve the CADD classes or the material processing classes.
It was mainly a teacher-led unit. The teacher discussed the physics concepts behind different rides. The students were then asked to calculate certain quantities about the rides, such as the velocity at the bottom of the first hill on the roller coaster or the centripetal acceleration on a circular ride.
This was done with worksheets and information given by the teacher or pulled from the textbook.
