Re: Emergency help needed from student researchers
We are in great need of students who would be able to find out what plants need in order to grow. We are about to send several botanists into space and need to find out what type of plants we can give them to grow for food during their journey. These botanists will be landing on planet EMO where the climate has four seasons very similar to yours. It seems to be a temperate climate where the temperatures are between 5 degrees and 100 degrees. The landing site is also surrounded by water just as Long Island is. From looking at the photos of the landing site there seems to be a small bay or sound on one side and a large body of water on the other just like your Atlantic Ocean. Your climate and geography seem to be very similar to that of the planet our botanists are going to explore.
We are hoping that you will be able to research and recommend what we will need to do in order for our botanists to grow plants on EMO. We will send you weather data to compare your growing conditions with those of planet EMO. We can also answer questions you may have about the weather and soil conditions on the planet. What do you think are some important variables for us to look at? What type of plants should we grow? What will we need to bring with us in order to grow plants? Maybe you can think of some questions we need to ask."
Please e-mail us if you think you can help us with our research.
Cosmically yours,
Yougrow Green
