Directions for Creating Our Website

We have prepared online templates for your Website.

First design your page and write a draft. Gather graphics such as photos, sketches, maps. Have your teacher review your design.

Check with your teacher. You will need to add the proper information at the bottom of the page crediting the authors, etc. You need information for the dates created and last updated and the URL for the page. For an example, look at the bottom of this page.

You may also need to create a link to your page. For example, if you are creating a page about a plant, bird or animal, there are index pages that list all the plants, animals and birds. You may also want to add a link to your page from the Site Index. Check with your teacher to see how to do this.

If you are using the blank formatted page:

Complete the navigation table at the top of the page. The one included is for pages directly linked to either the "Then or Now" pages. You can add the missing links by copying those on an existing page. If you are creating a page NOT linked to those pages, you may want an entirely new table or none at all. (For example, see this page for a Native American tribe.)
