Programs: Scout Programs

Description: Saturdays are fully booked through December 2015. Requests for 2016 sessions will be accepted beginning August 1, 2015.
Fermilab docents offer badge workshops for Girl and Boy Scout troops. Most of the requirements will be completed while the group is at the Lab. We specialize in doing activities that use equipment to which the troop may not have access. The fee is $60 for a two-hour session for a group of 4 to 20 scouts.

Badges offered are:

Boy Scouts: Nuclear Science, Citizenship in the Nation (partial completion)
Webelos (4th & 5th grade): Scientist, Engineer In accordance to the new Boy Scout requirements, starting January 1, 2016, badge sessions offered to Webelo Scouts will be Into the Woods (May – October) and Engineer.
The previous Scientist badge may still be requested through 2016 but will not satisfy the requirements for the new Adventures in Science.

Junior Girl Scouts (4th & 5th grade): Sky Search (evening session), Exploring Science, Science Sleuth, Explore Engineering
