Description of Project:

In the Fermilabyrinth Project, students tell the story of Fermilab to their school community. This could take almost any form the students can conceive: a set of posters, a pamphlet, and a website are just some of the many possibilities.

Students begin the project by reading a Fermilab memo that asks them to tell the story of Fermilab to their school community. The memo suggests that they do preliminary research to decide what form their project will take. They are then to submit a proposal for their form to your approval. Once they have your approval, they begin their in-depth research.
We provide them with these links to support their work:

Learner Outcomes:

Product:

The product for the project is a student presentation, in an agreed-upon form, of information about Fermilab.

Assessment:

We provide a set of rubrics for the project to assess the learner outcomes. You may modify these in any way you see fit. We do suggest that whatever rubrics are used are shared with the students while they are doing the project. In this way, the assessment can guide their work as well as provide a structure for evaluation.

Please email the program contact with your comments on the site.
