Browser and Plugin Requirements

Ed Office Home - Fermilabyrinth Home - Games
Teacher Home - Curriculum and Standards - Project Home - Student Project Home

The Fermilabyrinth Games require Netscape 3 or greater and Internet Explorer 4.0 and greater. The site is image intensive so users who cannot load images in a timely manner will find the site frustrating. The games themselves are implemented in either JavaScript or as Shockwave Movies. Shockwave requires a plugin for Netscape and Internet Explorer. See the link below to get the plug-in. You may need to give more memory to your browser on a Macintosh. The following table indicates the requirements of the games.

Requirements
 Game JavaScript or ShockWave
 Baryon Bonanza  Javascript
 Detector Detail  Javascript
Quicktime Plugin (optional)
 Particle Families  JavaScript
 Particle Graffiti  JavaScript
 Particle Pinball  Javascript
 Nature's Scale  Shockwave
 Particle Countin'  Shockwave
 Push the Particle  Shockwave
 Particle Pool  Shockwave
 Particle Trappin'  Shockwave
 Race for Energy  Shockwave
 Four Forces  Shockwave

Some of the games use sound so be sure you have sound turned on. These games include Particle Countin', Nature's Scale, Four Forces, Particle Trappin', and Push, Push, Push the Particle. Sound is only required for Nature's Scale. ²

Troubleshooting

If the games implemented in Javascipt do not work, make sure you have JavaScript enabled in your browser. Do not confuse enabling Java with enabling JavaScript. They are different!

You can use the following button to download Shockwave.
