Francis W. Lipinski

"Sometimes I have to remind myself that I'm really working at the place where they discovered top quark."
Frank, a middle school science instructor, has taught eighth grade physical science in Easton, Pennsylvania since 1993. He teaches a semester-long conceptual physics course in sequence with another teacher who spends a complementary semester on chemical science.

During his fellowship he has been helping in the manufacture of the new drift chamber for Run II at CDF. He has also reviewed some research into rare, four-muon decays of the B meson.

Frank has been writing interactive Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory
Web pages to help middle and high school science students to check their understanding of particle decays, data analysis, and general physics.
