| Saturday at the Lederman Science Center returns
on December 6, 1997.
Thanks to a gift from the nonprofit Friends of Fermilab, the Lederman Science Center will reopen for one Saturday a month beginning December 6, 1997. "Because Saturdays are such a popular time for families to come to Fermilab, I am delighted we can open our doors at least one Saturday a month. I am excited to welcome kids and parents and teachers to Saturday at the Science Center," remarked Marge Bardeen, Education Office Manager.
Bring your family to explore the smallest particles of matter as well as the links between the far reaches of outer space and the inner space of the protons inside the atom's nucleus. A variety of exploratory stations for ages seven and up will be available along with staff to guide and answer questions.
For teachers, the Teacher Resource Center will also be open for scheduled visitors.
The Center will open on Saturday, January 10, 1998 . Thereafter, the Center will open its doors from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month, unless that Saturday falls on a holiday. Then it will be open on the following Saturday.
The Center will be open two Saturdays a month starting in January. See calendar for scheduled days!
