Nucleus, an issue of the Magazine of the Union of Concerned Scientists, Spring 2000 focuses on Earth Day 2000 and the "news you can use." Articles include, "Taking It Personally" a climate scientist lists things we can all do about global warming. Brochures on what we can do and why global warming matters explain the causes and "cures" of global warming.

Transistorized! the teacher's guide and poster to the PBS documentary includes four lessons for grades 9-12 correlated to NSES standards. The lessons help students learn more about the history, uses and functions of transistors. The teacher's guide includes a profile of scientists with some current and fascinating jobs!

Teaching Evolution in School Science Classes, is an ERIC Digest authored by David L. Haury. Copies were available at the Nature of Science Symposium. For those who were unable to attend, the Digest provides a summary of the issues of teaching evolution as well as reference to several research-based instructional strategies and many references.
