Help Yourself to These Opportunities . . . .

Active Physics Workshop
April 25, 2000
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
High School - Grades 9-10

Presented by Jon Harknes, physics teacher and Activie Physics author.

In this workshop hosted by Fermilab Lederman Science Center, teachers will experience this activity-based program firsthand. Participants will leave with the program modules "Sports" and "Home" after working through several of the activities in this hands-on, minds-on session. By using the materials, teachers will see how this program, developed by the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) and the American Institute of Physics (AIP), supports state and national standards and prepares all students in grades 9-10 with a solid physics background.
Registration fees: $10.00 per participant. Includes lunch. Contact Gayle Stephens, 630-840-8258 or e-mail sdahl@fnal.gov.
