Rainforest Around the Clock is an overnight adventure for
teachers at the Chicago Botanic Garden to be held from Friday
February 21-22, 1997. During the adventure you'll meet rainforest
experts, explore the rainforest greenhouse, participate in multidisciplinary
activities and gather ideas and activities to build your own rainforest
unit. Registration cost is $48.00. All teachers welcome but most
appropriate for grades K-6. For more information call Lynne Hubert

A scholarship will be awarded to a teacher in elementary or secondary
schools serving the Thorn Creek Audubon Society membership area,
which encompasses the far south suburbs of Chicago, south to Beecher
and west to Joliet. The scholarship will pay tuition to a one-week
Ecology Workshop for Educators in Greenwich, CT this summer or
to a comparable college credit course, with any remaining funds
up to a limit of $700.00 to be used to defray travel expenses.
