Whitney M. Young Magnet High School is a Chicago Public School which offers an academic college preparatory curriculum. Approximately 500 students enter the Magnet Program each year, and 100 enter the Academic Center Program, after special application and entrance testing. Demographically, the school is a microcosm of the entire city, as its enrollment is drawn from the city at large.
