Steps for Designing A Claris Slide Show

 

1. Select Drawing document from the new menu.

2. Select Format from the menu bar

-slide to document

-look for the size box

-in the pages across box delete the 1 and type in 6

- then click OK (we are typing in 6 because that is how many pages the slide

show will be)

3. Go to View from the menu bar and slide down to Page view and then let go (if you go back to View and Page view again you will see a check mark by it and that's the way it should be.

4. Reduce your work to 50%, by clicking on the small mountains 2 times (they are located in the bottom left corner of the screen.

5. Go to File, slide down to Page setup, and clcik on the second picture under the word Orientation (that changes the way the page is laid out)

6. Go to Save as and save your work on your data disk or on the hard drive.

7. Use pictures from File-Library or other graphic programs you might have on your computer and use the A-tool to create text boxes to compose the pages that will become your slide show.

8. Use the scrool bars at the bottom to go back and forth between the pages (your computer may move slow because these pages may tak a lot of memory

9. A helpful hint is to Save often.

10. Now comes the fun part, seeing the pages put together in a slide show. After these pages are created, go to View from the menu bar, slide down to Slide show.

11. Click and hold the button down in the box by background to chose a color for the background.

12. Click and hold down on the box by Border to chose a color for the border (these colors can be easily be changed just by choosing them)

13. Put an X in the box in front of Advance every seconds.

14. Delete the number in the box Advance every seconds, and change it. You might want to change the number to seconds to 3 to have the show run faster.

15. Click in the box Auto play so that you don't have to click on each picture to have the slide show continue.

16. Click on Start to begin seeing the slide show.

17. Type the letter q to stop the slide show.

18. Experiment with fade and loop to see what happens when there is an X in the box in front of them (X means yes)

19. When you are done viewing your slide show, click on Done to get back to your drawing documents. Then you can make any changes you want or you can Save and then Quit
