What I Must Do

to Earn all the Points Possible

 Water Sample  
 
  1. Collect a water sample from home or school
  2. Record the data about the water sample in the class file.

 Project Plan  
 
  1. Complete a written draft of my project plan. 
  2. Revise my draft project plan and receive a "stamp of approval" from the teacher.
  3. My approved project plan includes:
  • a question about water
  • the purpose of my investigation
  • a prediction about what I may find out about my question
  • the reason I made the prediction
  • at least three ideas for finding answers
  • a list of tools I may need to investigate my question
  • a task timleline
  • a draft and a revised copy of my project plan.

 Technical Skills  
 
  1. Complete the Technology Skills Inventory, before I start my research
  2. Log onto the WWW, without help
  3. Send e-mail
  4. Use a word processing program, at least three text formatting tools from its menu-bar, and its outline format
  5. Launch a database and input my sample data
  6. Again, complete the Technology Skills Inventory, after I turn in my final written report

  1. Write in my journal twice each week
  2. Record some problems and their solutions
  3. Include things that I learned; with details
  4. Include the date of each entry
  5. Hand in my journal on time and keep it up to date

  2. Explain with detail, how water is delivered to my school and home
  3. Include one key point that I learned
