The Challenge

Create lesson plans that interweave technology objectives with the teaching of core curricular areas. Design, select, and construct technology-enriched lesson plans. The results could be published in an interactive site that contains a grid featuring teacher-selected web sites organized by grade level and subject. You may have the opportunity to publish critiques, suggest classroom applications and recommend additional web sites for the grid. Furthermore, you may submit lesson plans to the Michigan Department of Education for publication on the "Best Practices in Technology" CD.

How Ready Am I?

Not sure what your level of expertise is? Take the handy little "pretest" to get some idea of how you measure up.

Resources

The boxes below hide valuable resources for you. The "Lesson Plan Collection" rectangle takes you to a large collection of miscellaneous lessons. Selecting "Search engines" brings you to a page with a number of search tools. Clicking in the "To the GRID" cell takes you to the latest version of the Farmington Public Schools' internet/curriculum grid. The suggestion box ("Submit a link and suggestion for use") takes you to a form where you can recommend other web sites and suggestions for their use. The last sections take you to resources for the Michigan Curriculum Frameworks, Best Practices in Technology Integration, and a couple of ways to contact willing helpers.
