Introduction:

This is your Chesapeake Bay Watershed speaking. I need your help. As you know, my bay - the Chesapeake Bay has serious health problems. The problems come from pollution of my rivers and streams. Scientists are trying to help me, but there aren't enough scientist to monitor all of my streams and rivers. As you can see from my picture below, I'm a big watershed. I cover five states and the District of Columbia. I'm looking for hard working students interested in organizing and running a Watershed Monitoring Program.

Are your interested? Great! I thought I could count on you.

Your goal is to first research about me and then develop a plan to monitor my streams and rivers. Your plan will involve recruiting other schools to join you as CheSSie Monitors. Below are a few web sites to help you get started. Your teacher has bookmarked other sites that will help you.

Thanks for your help.
