Sol Cache-Solar Energy

Student Page

Dear Students,

As Secretary of the Department of Energy, the President has requested my help to address the critical energy issues this nation is facing. As you are well aware, the energy problem has become intense. As power outages and brown-outs continue to plague our major cities, solutions must be found. Fossil fuel usage is at an all time high and fossil fuels are no longer the answer to the world's energy problems. As a nation, we must begin to look for other energy alternatives and begin to reduce our energy consumption.

This is where we need YOUR help. I am looking for lead scientists and energy experts to make presentations at a national symposium. We would like each group of experts to research an aspect of solar energy (insolation, energy efficiency, color absorption) and to present those findings to other solar experts. These contributions and findings will lead to the development of a solar community.

The President of the United States, as well as the nation, is counting on you! Help us to develop this unique community powered by solar energy. We look forward to learning about your findings and seeing the contributions you make to this important project.

Sincerely,

I.B. Pleased

Secretary of the Department of Energy
